The Few and Cursed is a creator-owned comic book series about people trying to survive a wicked world where most of the water was gone overnight in a mysterious apocalyptic event in 1840.
The Redhead is a hardened survivor that was born in this reality and now fights to protect the innocent. As for every darkness there is also light among those few and cursed there are those willing to fight to bring balance to the lands: the Curse Chasers.
Shadow Nation is an adventure book set in the same universe that introduces a post-woman as she must travel thousands of miles to deliver a cursed package to a Texas official in the front line with their war with the Comanche Nation.

Hey everyone!
It is with great joy and relief that I can say I've shipped 100% of the parcels for this Kickstarter thus completing the fulfillment for the campaign!!
If you filled out your BackerKit Survey then you either already got your rewards or received an e-mail with a tracking number. Either way every backer should have the book in their hands sooner than later and I cannot wait to see what you all think of Shadow Nation.
I'd like to take the opportunity to thank you all again for supporting my work and for your more than generous patience with this fulfillment and all the delays. You guys are the best!
MISSING OR DAMAGED ITEMS?
I handled fulfillment completely by myself and I am human so mistakes could have happened, not to mention we are still dealing with shipping amidst Covid times. I did my best to be as thorough as possible but please always check if all your items were sent to you.
If there is anything missing or if any of the rewards got damaged in transit do NOT leave a comment or DM me here on Kickstarter, we need to do this via e-mail.
I need you to shoot me an e-mail because you'll need to send photos of any damages and it makes my life a whole lot easier to queue all replacements up in a folder at my e-mail browser. Kickstarter just throws all communication together and it's hard for me to navigate and find any specific requests or mark which ones have been dealt with.
I am more than happy to do right by all of you and see that 100% of backers are satisfied with their Few and Cursed experience, just please make sure to e-mail me, capisce?
LaVerne has a brand new short story in The Few and Cursed: Crows of Mana'Olana trade paperback drawn by Rui Silveira with colors by Tiago Barsa. If you missed the Kickstarter for the trade and would like to put in a pre-order please hit the link below:

SHADOW NATION FINALLY SHIPPING!
The update everyone has been waiting for. After delay on top of delay Shadow Nation is finally shipping and I cannot wait for you all to see the books in person. I think it's easily one of the best books I've ever published from the script to the art to the design to the printing, it's just stellar across the board.
I've signed all the books and I'll start packaging everything tomorrow all through the weekend. I expect the first half of all parcels to ship next Monday already with the remaining half shipping in the next week or two after that.
This gorgeous dust-jacket was exclusive to the Kickstarter hardcover edition!
As I go through fulfillment I will keep updating you all through here but please note that every time a package ships every single one of you gets an e-mail with tracking info. Just make sure you are getting e-mails from BackerKit and you'll know exactly when your parcel has shipped.
Once again thank you all so much for your patience and support, it's gonna pay off once you sit down to read Shadow Nation, I guarantee it. I'm really proud of this story and this book and I can't wait to hear your comments.

Time to lock down Shipping Addresses! Plus new Kickstarter campaign LIVE and welcoming pledges!

There were lots of delays, challenges and trying circumstances but we finally got to the point where I'm ready to start fulfilling Shadow Nation and shipping out your parcels! This update is intended to handle any ADDRESS CHANGES on BackerKit and other questions regarding shipping.
Before we get into the nuts and bolts of the next step let me just quickly take a moment to present a very different Kickstarter that is currently LIVE for the next couple of weeks.
Rock Manor Games produced a board game and I was the Art Director for the project and everyone was so impressed with the quality of art produced for the game we've decided to do an ART BOOK.
The book is a gorgeous hardcover limited edition withover 100 pages and Mike and I are selling the last units of the print run. When it is gone, it is gone. And because the book has been produced and printed already we are using Kickstarter as a pre-order platform.
You go in, reserve you copy, pay only at the end of the campaign and about four weeks later Funagain Logistics is already fulfilling your orders. Easy peasy. There are no Stretch Goals or different reward tiers, this is solely the best way to order a copy of The Art of The Few and Cursed Board Game.
Shipping addresses will lock next Friday, March 5th, and once they are locked no changes are allowed so please make sure I'm shipping your package to the right place. Next week you'll get a 48hr notice before addresses lock and you'll have a chance to verify it and make any changes if needed.
If your address remains the same from the time you answered your BackerKit Surveys you are all set and don't need to do anything.
Only follow these instructions if you want to go ahead and update your information already:
1- All backers that have completed their BackerKit surveys will be sent an e-mail on Wednesday asking for any changes to their Shipping Address. If you need to update your address just follow the instructions in the e-mail, if you are all set, you are all set, no need to do anything about it. Just ignore the e-mail and delete it.
2- If you don't want to wait for the e-mail please hit the link below to retrieve your original BackerKit Survey:
You will then be prompted to either confirm or update the shipping address.
Both ways are super easy and intuitive but if you have any questions or if you need any help in the process please do not hesitate to shoot me a message whether it's a DM on Kickstarter or an e-mail to [email protected]
Let's get this show on the road, shall we?
Every package going out the door will have tracking so you'll know exactly when your parcel has shipped. Just make sure e-mails coming from BackerKit are not ending in your Junk or Spam folder. Just wait for the e-mail confirming tracking, every backer will get them.

Hey gang!
Here I am writing to you all from sunny Mexico halfway through my quarantine and I bring excellent news and a big confirmation. The books and all other items have arrived in Florida and are now just sitting in a warehouse waiting for me to get there \o/
No more delays, no fuss no muss, let's kick this fulfillment into gear, shall we?!
Here are the latest dates which WILL NOT suffer any more delays:
Feb. 24th: I arrive in Florida.
Feb. 25th: Books & other goodies are delivered to me and I start sorting through everything.
End of Feb.: I sign all the books going out to backers
March: Fulfillment begins about 150-200 packages per week.
By the end of March I expect all packages to have been shipped at which point I will start handling any damaged or missing rewards.
We're almost out of the woods and I couldn't be happier to finally have you all read Shadow Nation if you haven't done so yet with the digital copies.
Not sure if most know but LaVerne was a character I created specifically for the board game and I enjoyed her so much I then decided to write her story. That's how Shadow Nation came to be.
I bring this up because there's something cool happening just next week...
I'm sure everyone knows already that Rock Manor Games produced a pretty awesome board game inspired by The Few and Cursed but perhaps not a lot of you know we've also produced a companion art book featuring all the amazing art produced for the game, the process behind them, some insider info and more.
Including the very first pieces of art featuring LaVerne.
The very first artwork we did for LaVerne. We didn't really know the character back then but I think Rui just got her looks right and it prompted me to invite him to come do Shadow Nation.
The book was printed alongside the game and we thought to ourselves why not offer the remaining units of the print run to Few and Cursed fans that might not have wanted to buy it with the board game but would like a copy anyway.
We are launching a Kickstarter campaign next week to basically use the platform as a pre-order tool. The campaign won't have much of a goal nor will they have different tiers, the idea is for everyone to go in, purchase a copy of the book and get it shipped as soon as funds and shipping addresses are collected.
Copies are LIMITED since we are selling the end of the run so make sure to get yours as early as possible and don't forget you won't be charged until the campaign ends anyway so putting a pledge in early is pretty much reserving your copy.

It's been a while since I did one of these but it's a special occasion as this project was created by a very own member of our community and fan base. Paul Starr has been a Few and Cursed reader for a while now and I gotta say his project looks fantastic, especially nearing 1.000 backers with over $40K already raised.
The campaign ends this Friday so hurry up if the following catches your eye. From their own page: "Zodiac War is a fast-paced game for 1 to 5 players, true to the principles of both modern astrology and tarot." The game looks gorgeous and has got some pretty great reviews, go check it out =)

Hello everyone!
I hope you all managed to have a break or even some vacation time during the holidays. I surely did, I really needed a breather after the last few months of 2020. But there ya go, I'm back at work making sure you get your rewards and we all get to continue expanding The Few and Cursed universe together.
Thankfully today's update is all about good news.
First I'd like to share that the cargo with Shadow Nation has left China about a week and a half ago and is currently en route to Florida with a schedule to make port around the last couple of weeks of February.
Operation Guacamole
You know what this means in a Covid world, right?
Time to pull off yet another Mexico operation to make sure I'm able to make it to Florida myself and fulfill your rewards myself too. As travel restrictions are still in effect for all travelers going into the US from Brazil I will have to quarantine in Mexico for two weeks one more time just like I did last year.
This time though I'm doing things slightly different. I'm going to use this time to hide away in a beach in Mexico and do a writing retreat. That's right, Operation Guacamole will also serve to get The Few and Cursed ready for Season 2!
I already booked the flights and my retreat and here are the dates:
Feb. 8th - flight from Brazil to Mexico
Feb. 23rd - flight from Mexico to the US
Feb. 25th - cargo arrives in Florida and fulfillment begins.
End of March / beginning of April - fulfillment completed
What's next for The Few and Cursed?
On top of writing the next full arc of the main Few and Cursed series featuring the Redhead on my retreat I will also be writing a couple of short "321" stories for the trade paperback that was funded late last year after a phenomenal Kickstarter campaign that went on to unlock 35 Stretch Goals!
"321" short stories are comic book stories 3 pages long, featuring 2 characters and spotting 1 twist ending. Both Red and LaVerne will get their own "321"s to be included in the trade paperback.

I cannot wait to start announcing more details about all the projects above. While I will continue to personally oversee the expansion of The Few and Cursed universe I'm thrilled to share I won't exactly be writing all of the above myself and I cannot wait to see what new voices bring to the table.
