The Few and Cursed is a creator-owned comic book series about people trying to survive a wicked world where most of the water was gone overnight in a mysterious apocalyptic event in 1840.
The Redhead is a hardened survivor that was born in this reality and now fights to protect the innocent. As for every darkness there is also light among those few and cursed there are those willing to fight to bring balance to the lands: the Curse Chasers.
Shadow Nation is an adventure book set in the same universe that introduces a post-woman as she must travel thousands of miles to deliver a cursed package to a Texas official in the front line with their war with the Comanche Nation.

YES, YES, YES, YOU ARE ALL AMAZING!!
What a fantastic way to go into the holidays and enjoy a much deserved break over the next couple of weeks. Thank you all so much for the incredible show of support and all the pledges, you all deserve all that is good in this world as 2019 comes to a conclusion \o/

WHAT'S NEXT?
First off please note the credit cards attached to your Kickstarter accounts will be charged and if there are any issues with the payment method they will automatically keep trying for approximately 1 to 2 weeks.
Make sure your accounts are up to date to avoid dropped pledges.
We're then all going to enjoy our holidays and recharge for a pretty exciting 2020 ahead of us. There's a lot planned for The Few and Cursed universe including a trade paperback collecting all six issues of Crows of Mana'Olana, an art book to celebrate the character of the Redhead and a brand new series!

Every order placed on the store above will be shipped along the rewards for The Few and Cursed #6 Kickstarter sometime in February 2020 and credit cards won't be charged until early January.

Once again here's my most heartfelt and humble THANKS to all of you that pledged on this Kickstarter. I promise I will do my best to deliver a graphic novel up to the standard you all deserve.
Unfortunately I can't guarantee we won't have any delays in our proposed schedule but I'm always around and ready to listen.
I will be regularly updating you all via Kickstarter updates (make sure you are getting them in your e-mail accounts - remember to check your Spam or Junk folders) as we move along production up until shipping out your rewards.
Please be mindful I will send out BackerKit Surveys to fullfil your rewards and they are mandatory so keep an eye out for those.

As I mentioned in previous updates I'm an avid card collector and it brings me great joy to announce we unlocked a second Ruby Signature Series card to be shipped to backers, folks \o/

I'm really proud of this one, it's a great story with terrific art and it's awesome seeing it find its' audience, so really, from the bottom of my heart, thank you!!!
I also forgot to add something to my previous Update. For those like me that enjoy collecting cards please note there is an exclusive Shadow Nation 9-card set up for grabs as an add-on.
The set will be entirely drawn by Marvel Artist Ibraim Roberson in a 3x3 grid forming a single image celebrating the new cast of The Few and Cursed. Alright, alright, alright!
We're going through the very last hours of the campaign online and we still have some goodies left to unlock! Let's make this count, shall we?!
Here's the latest Stretch Goal unlocked:
This is something I really wanted to do for this book every since artist Gilberto Martimiamo Jr. turned in two different versions for his Variant Edition artwork. I knew I was going to use the full colored one for the actual cover but the black and white was always so enticing I knew I had to do something with it.
I'm glad to see we made it to $28K and unlocked this beauty \o/
Here's what we can still unlock:
I'm particularly excited for the next Stretch Goal as I'm an avid card collector and I love where The Few and Cursed collection is going. The more cards the merrier!
The ultimate $35K Stretch Goal is also something really exciting as it gives us the chance of doing a dual-sided dust-jacket for the Hardcover edition with brand new new commission artwork by a top artist!
HOW CAN WE HELP GET ALL THE WAY TO $35K?
I always say in my Kickstarter campaigns our current backers are always our top SECRET WEAPON. You are the key to unlocking extra content.
Whether by helping us spread the word about the project or upgrading your pledges. Going over our project stats I noticed that about 30% of our backers have pledged for a digital tier reward only which is awesome and much appreciated!
But let me point out that for less than $20 extra dollars you will get a hard copy of the book sent in the mail plus a bunch of extras like the cards, the mini-print and the bookmark. For those upgrading from the softcover TPB to the hardcover KS exclusive that also means a collectible dust-jacket as well!
That is definitely a win-win for everyone, right?
So please consider upping your pledges, post Shadow Nation on your social networks, let's make some noise and push this all the way!!!!

Hiya folks!
The campaign ends this next Thursday (Dec. 19th) at 9:59pm EST and we're well on our way to finish it up strong and unlocking every planned Stretch Goal!
Should be a pretty exciting week \o/
We have four Stretch Goals left including a second Ruby Signature collectible card by an artist that is just truly an honor to have join the project:

Some of the artists started turning in their work as well and I have two exciting previews to share with you. The first is the fine mini-print by Nate Artuz that will accompany every book sent in the mail and the second is the back-cover art for the regular edition book by Yama Orce:

Last but not least I really wanted to share some of the latest pages Rui Silveira has turned in as his work on the book continues to impress me beyond any expectations I might have had.
I really could not have asked for a better partnership on this!
I'm back at it with another couple Project Spotlights, my friends. First up is Luminous, a pretty popular and gorgeous book currently on its way to finish their campaign with a bang and unlocking multiple Stretch Goals.
From their own page: "The story itself follows Elazar along his mission to prevent the world from total destruction, while experiencing his own personal sexual awakening. As he's forced to step out of his comfort zone and face his greatest fears in Lumen's cutthroat Capital City, everything he ever believed about love, relationships and the world he lives in is called into question. Priya and the Lost Girls Comic Book (Priya's Shakti #3)
A "Project We Love" on Kickstarter, Priya's Shakti is an Indian comic book that tackles some real tough themes and uses augmented reality technology to go beyond the pages of the book. They are already fully funded and also going after Stretch Goals.
From their own page: "India's first female superhero who is a rape survivor and named by UN Women as a "gender equality champion." Besides being a powerful story with beautiful artwork, it is also interactive! The comic book helped define the new frontier of integrating literary publications & exhibitions with augmented reality technology. Priya continues her adventures with her flying tiger, Sahas. She returns home and discovers all the young women have disappeared in her rural village including her sister, Laxmi. She discovers they were taken to an underground brothel city called Rahu, which is ruled by a demon who gets his power through fear and entrapment of women."

Howdy folks!
About time I came here to update you all on everything that's going on with Shadow Nation. Most importantly our Stretch Goals!
We've recently unlocked a couple more putting us about halfway through our board:
Our latest is the already traditional Gallery of Pin-Ups by Guest Artists and boy do we have some exciting artists joining us with their own spin on the new cast of characters and especially LaVerne.
While international artists - more on that below - will tackle the cards and other materials I've decided to bring in Brazilian artist only for the Gallery and I couldn't be happier to announce that everyone I initially invited said yes :D
We've got Rod Santos coming back to the series after doing art for the board game and he's joined by artists Alzir Alves, Wellington Phelippe and Alex Shibao.

Moving on then to the announcement of two awesome international artists that are joining us by tackling the first collectible card and the fine art mini-print.
